How much do professional headshots cost in Boise?

At Pixel Light, in-studio headshot sessions are $175, $250 or $475, depending on how many finished images you need. On-location sessions start at $475. Every price includes retouching, 4–5 crop sizes of each final image, and delivery on your private online portal within 1–3 days.

How does a headshot session work?

  1. Book online in two minutes.

    Pick a tier and a time. I'll send a short note on how to prepare, and from there the rest is on me.

  2. Relax. I'll guide you.

    We talk through how you want to come across, then I coach every pose and expression. You see frames as we go, so there are no surprises.

  3. Pick your favorites with me, live.

    We review the frames together during the session, with my read on what works from behind the camera. You leave knowing your finals. I retouch them and deliver each in 4–5 crop sizes on your private portal within 1–3 days.

The Trifecta Method: Genuine, Confident, Approachable

A headshot has one job: make the right first impression before you say a word. People judge trustworthiness and competence from a face in about a tenth of a second. 1 The Trifecta Method is built for that tenth of a second.

1. Genuine

A pre-session conversation and guided posing, so you forget the camera and look like yourself. Colleagues should say, "That's exactly who you are." Most of us are poor judges of our own photos: in one study, images picked by strangers were rated more trustworthy and competent than the ones people picked themselves. 2 You get my eye, not a mirror.

How a team session works

  • One visit. I bring the studio to you and set up once; individual headshots run about 10 minutes per person after that.
  • The team photo happens the same day, in your lobby, at your building's entrance or wherever your team actually works.
  • Every person gets the same Trifecta Method coaching, so the whole team reads as genuine, confident and approachable.
  • Finals are retouched and delivered on your private portal, ready for the website, email signatures and social profiles.

Composite team photos: a different way to get everyone in one picture

Can't get the whole team in one place on one day? With a composite, I photograph each person on their own, with identical lighting and angles, then build the team photo digitally. You get consistent individual portraits and one team photo, without pulling twenty people into a room at the same time.

Why teams choose a composite

  • Each person books their own 10-minute slot. Nobody coordinates the whole company's calendar.
  • New hire? One quick session and I add them to the team photo. No reshoot.
  • Matching lighting and backgrounds give every photo one consistent look, from the website to email signatures. Consistency reads as credibility.
  • Put the team anywhere: a clean studio background or the front of your own building.

What I capture for each person

  • Multiple angles (center, left, right) so each person fits anywhere in the group

Questions people ask before booking

How much do professional headshots cost in Boise?

At Pixel Light, $175 for one finished headshot, $250 for two, and $475 for five to seven, all in the studio with retouching and 4–5 crops included. On-location sessions start at $475. For comparison, the Idaho median for a professional headshot is about $250. 6

What should I wear for a business headshot?

Solid, mid-tone colors you feel good in, with little or no pattern. A jacket or blazer reads as authoritative; an open collar or a knit reads as approachable. Skip logos, thin stripes and anything you'd tug at. Executive sessions: bring a second top and we'll choose together.

How long does a session take?

Express is 10 minutes. Professional and Executive sessions are longer and unhurried; you'll see the exact time block when you book. Team sessions run about 10 minutes per person once the setup is in place.

When will I get my photos?

We pick your favorites together during the session, so you leave knowing your finals. I retouch them and deliver each one in 4–5 crop sizes on your private portal, typically within 1–3 days.

Do you come to our office for team headshots?

Yes. I bring a studio setup to offices, clinics and events across the Treasure Valley, including Meridian, Eagle, Nampa and Caldwell. My preferred working area is about 30 by 15 feet with a power outlet; if space is at a premium, I can work with less. On-location sessions start at $475; headcount sets the final price.

What is a composite team photo?

Each person is photographed separately with the same lighting and angles, then combined into one group photo. New team members are added later without a reshoot, and the same frames give every person their own portrait.

Is retouching included?

Yes. Every finished image gets natural retouching: skin, stray hairs, blemishes and glare, without changing how you look. Heavier edits on request.

I'm not photogenic. Will this work for me?

That's most people, and it's why the session is guided. We start with test frames, you see them, and we adjust angle, pose and expression together until it clicks. That process is the reason clients come back.
